Create a new VPN connection for Entra MFA (Pilot)

Introduction

How to create a new VPN connection that uses the Entra MFA (formerly Azure MFA) prompt.

Ivanti Secure Access Client has two user experience (UX) options: Classic and New-UX. The steps to add a connection are the same for both.

Instructions

  1. Open your Ivanti Secure Access Client. 
  2. Press the Add Connection button (+ sign ) to add a new connection.
  3. In the Add Connection screen:
    1. Ensure the connection type is Policy Secure (UAC) or Connect Secure (VPN).
    2. Enter a Name for the new connection.
    3. Enter the Server URL: vpn.cc.umanitoba.ca/pilot

  1. Select Connect to test your new connection.
  2. Sign in using your UM email and password. You will be prompted to approve the sign-in request using your Authenticator app.
